By playing Brains Together you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
The game
Brains Together is free to play. You can play the whole game without spending anything; there is nothing to subscribe to.
We may change how the game works, add or remove modes, adjust the rules and scoring, or stop offering the service altogether.
Coins and purchases
Coins are earned by playing and can also be bought inside the app. Payment is taken by the App Store or Google Play under their terms, not ours.
Coins are a licence to use a feature of the game. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred out of your account or to another player.
A purchase of coins is final. Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their policies — we do not process them ourselves. Coins already spent are not refundable.
We may change the price of coins, what they cost to buy, and what they buy in the game. Coins you have already bought stay yours until spent, but the service they are spent on may change. If we stop offering the game, any unspent coins are lost, and outside a refund required by law we do not owe you their value.
Your account
Keep your account to yourself. Anything done with it is treated as done by you.
Your name may be changed once. Your avatar may be changed as often as you like.
Playing fair
Do not use modified clients, automation, or any other means of answering that is not you looking at the board. The server decides every board, every timer and every score, so this mostly wastes your own time — but it is still a reason to remove an account.
Do not pick a name meant to harass, impersonate or offend. We may reset a name that does, without warning.
Do not disrupt the service or try to reach data that is not yours.
Ratings and results
Ratings and match history are ours to maintain. Where a match was decided by a fault on our side, or by cheating, we may correct or remove the result and recompute the ratings that followed from it.
No warranty
The game is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults, and we are not liable for anything lost through using it — including a match dropped by a network you or we do not control.
Ending it
You may stop playing at any time and delete your account from inside the app, which takes its profile, matches, progress and any unspent coins with it. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms; where we remove one for cheating or abuse, any unspent coins go with it and are not refunded.
